Parts of our Sanctuary will be open for gun deer hunting from Nov. 23-Dec. 1. Trails are closed during this period. Hunters and trappers must register with The Ridges before hunting.

Current Openings

Nature Preschool Teacher

Come to beautiful Door County and create a nature-based 4K experience that will impact children for the rest of their lives!  We are The Ridges Sanctuary, in Baileys Harbor on Lake Michigan.  In collaboration with Gibraltar School District, we will create and implement a Nature-Based 4K for the 2024-25 school year!  Parents and children from all over Door County are excited to participate in this unique opportunity.  We are looking for a teacher who will develop and teach this Mon – Thur morning program.  Professional support will be provided throughout the year by the Director of Environmental Education who is writing a preliminary curriculum. 

We are excited to grow this program with our new 4K Lead Teacher. In this role you will have the opportunity to build this program from the ground up, with the support of our team and community.
