Sanctuary Guided Hike – Ridges Pollinators

Join a naturalist for an exploration of The Ridges Sanctuary. We’ll head out on the trails to learn about the history of The Ridges, the unique features of the Sanctuary habitats, and what makes the Sanctuary the most biologically diverse area in Wisconsin! 

Each month’s guided hike follows a theme focusing on unique aspects of the Sanctuary: 

August: Ridges Pollinators

Pollinators are a crucial part of our ecosystems! Learn about a few pollinators of The Ridges and the importance of their habitats like The Ridges.  

This 90-minute guided hike includes a tour of our Upper Range Light, which has been restored to the period of the last Range Light Keeper. Suitable for all ages.

Accessibility Considerations: Program takes place outside on boardwalk and rustic trails. Accessible parking is available. Bathrooms are available prior to the hike starting. T-coil system available.

Distance: Approximately 1 mile

Please Note:

  • All participants, including children, must be registered for the hike.
  • Our capacity for Guided Hikes is 15 people. This allows for a safe and enjoyable experience on the Sanctuary trails. If you have a group over 15, please call The Ridges to request a private hike. 
  • If you are not able to purchase tickets for everyone in your group, this means the guided hike is FULL. Please register for a different day or call (920)-839-2802 to request a private tour.
