DESCRIPTION:Tag Talks\n\n\n\nStop by the Cook-Albert Fuller Nature Center during Monarch Madness\, where Ridges staff will be on hand to answer questions and teach visitors about Monarch caterpillars and butterfly migration. Each day from 1:30 pm – 2 pm\, we’ll be available to answer your questions about the tagging process and tag butterflies that are ready to head out on their journey. The Ridges receives tags from the non-profit organization Monarch Watch\, which we apply to the migrating Monarch butterflies before they are released at the end of August. Tag or sponsor a Monarch for $5 per tag.  \n\n\n\nSuitable for all ages. \n\n\n\nFee: FREE program. Create a foundation of love and respect for the natural world through active play in nature between caregivers and children. Join a Ridges educator in gentle hiking\, songs\, and endless possibilities for exploration and experimentation.   \n\n\n\nWho’s that flying by? In August\, Tiny Trekkers will learn all about insects of the Sanctuary. Topics will include dragonflies\, fireflies\, bees\, and more busy bug friends! \n\n\n\nThis program is suitable for caregivers and children walking through 3 years old. Sign up for individual classes in advance or drop in! Limit of 12 Trekkers per class. Each month explores a different theme. This class is for children who are walking through age 3. \n\n\n\nFee: $8 per Trekker  \n\n\n\nSiblings are welcome to join as long as they are not disruptive of the Trekkers class. If an additional child will be joining you\, an additional $5 fee per class applies. DESCRIPTION:Bat House Building Workshop\n\n\n\nBuild your own bat house to hang on your property! The Bat House Building Workshop will start at 3:30pm at the Ridges Workshop. We’ll help you assemble your own bat house and give you instructions on hanging and maintenance so you can provide important shelter for native bat species! \n\n\n\nThe price for the Bat House Workshop is based off of the number of bat houses you would like to build. You will be prompted to enter the number of individuals building each box when registering. \n\n\n\nTo get to the Workshop\, drive north on Highway 57 from The Ridges Nature Center for 1/2 a mile. Turn right onto County Rd Q and turn into the first driveway on the right.
