We will learn about the creatures that become active after the sun goes down and check out The Range Lights at work as a navigational aid. (Please do not bring any flashlights\, light-up shoes\, etc. as we want our eyes to adjust to the dark and to be able to see just as the animals do at night).  \n\n\n\nThis program will meet outside of The Ridges Sanctuary Cook-Albert Fuller Nature Center. Ridges staff will provide all hikers with a red flashlight for the duration of the hike. Restrooms are not available on the hike.  \n\n\n\nThese programs take place on Friday evenings\, with start times that shift earlier each month: 8:00 pm in August\, 7:00 pm in September\, 6:00 pm in October\, and 5:00 pm in November. Please check the specific date and time when registering. You are always welcome to call if you’d like to register over the phone or learn more about these experiences. \n\n\n\nPre-registration required. We will take a stroll down Hidden Brook Boardwalk to discuss ongoing research initiatives\, including research for restoration work with the Dwarf Like Iris\, Orchid Restoration Project\, and the Boreal Climate Survivability Project\, along with other initiatives we are partnering on. Suitable for ages 18 & up. \n\n\n\nAccessibility Considerations: Daytime program\, outdoor program\, portions of hike on boardwalk and rustic trails (uneven surfaces)\, standing for long periods of time\, restrooms available at Nature Center\, accessible parking available at Nature Center.   \n\n\n\nDistance (if applicable): About 1 mile   \n\n\n\n\nAll Ridges programs are currently offline.
