Indigo is a natural dye which comes from the leaves of indigo plants. The process of dyeing fabric using the indigo plant has been used in some cultures for over 5\,000 years. In this workshop\, Rachel will lead you through the dye process and help you create your own silk scarf to take home with you. Participants should bring a pair of rubber dishwashing gloves with them to the workshop. If you make it to the Upper Range Light\, prepare yourself for a ghostly encounter…  \n\n\n\nBring the family for a self-guided hike on Hidden Brook Boardwalk and interact with our spooky team along the way to learn about all about the things that go bump in the night at The Ridges! This event is appropriate for families of all ages. Costumes are encouraged! \n\n\n\nPre-registration is not necessary but encouraged. Tickets can be purchased at the Cook-Albert Fuller Nature Center upon arrival.
