In order to help control the number of deer in the Sanctuary, and reduce their impact on habitat, most properties owned by The Ridges Sanctuary are open to deer hunting by permission. Ridges lands are open ONLY during the regular deer gun season (2011 dates are November 19-27). Ridges’ properties are NOT open to bow hunting, nor during any other special firearms seasons (youth hunt, T-zone, muzzleloader, etc.)
Hunters are required to fill out a 2011 Hunting Form and return it to the Ridges before the hunt. This form also lists the Special Hunters’ Provisions by which all hunters must abide. Maps of the Ridges properties open to hunting can be downloaded by clicking the link(s) below.
Please note: as of October 31 we have reached the maximum number of hunters allowed on the Logan Creek Property. Please contact The Ridges if you would like to be placed on a waiting list for this area. Applications are still being accepted for Ridges properties in Baileys Harbor.
